Have you contacted your friend and asked what they might know?
Still births with a dog or cat can be a traumatic experience for a pet owner, but it's natural, and not terribly uncommon. I'm sorry about your experience.
At least you have fish bait.

How terrible for you and momma kitty. Is momma kitty O.K.? I wish I could tell you why they were still born but it could be for a number of reasons. Was momma in optimal health, well fed, up to date on vaccinations, etc? Was it her first litter? Sometimes this can happen with the first. Personally I would take momma kitty to the vet ASAP and have her checked out to make sure she is healthy and is not a carrier of some contagious disease. Explain to your vet what has happened and listen to his/her advice and guidance. After all they are the experts. So sorry for you to have to go through this. I hope and pray that momma kitty is well. Best of lick to you.

Was this her first litter? Did she have adequate nutrition during the entire pregnancy? Did she have any kind of sickness during the pregnancy? Any number of things can cause that. Just think of it this way. Now there are three less lives to find homes for, and three other kitties will get homes!

thats terribly sad. i know in my family the women all have really bad luck giving birth, carrying their children. perhaps this kitty just has bad genes. save yourself the sadness of dealing with this a 2nd time and make sure she is spade.

She wasnt ready to be a mom...some cats just arent thats nature. you need to get her in and spayed ASAP because its common for them to not push out all the stillborns and they get infected in their bellies, they can check when they have her "knocked out" during spay. :) good luck

Most cats on their first litter is usually average of three to four. and maybe she was just to young to be pregnant in the first place.maybe it is something you can ask your vet when you take her in to get fixed.Good luck

For reasons unbeknownst to us, the cat might have aborted them (it does happen), or she could be sick, too. Don't know. Hope the links help, though.
