Well, first it would have to walk down from Ararat, then cross over to Sinai, walk up it and then back down.

The elephant is an extremely versatile animal. However, that versatility may not have been needed. The Bible says that the Ark came to rest on Mt. Ararat. We don't know where on the mountain it rested, or even where the true Mt. Ararat is. It is likely that it rested near the bottom, due to the sorting action of water and the buoyancy of the Ark.

10 points for you, old timer, you took the words right out of my mouth...and who's to say there were no elephants on the ark? The bible doesn't say one way or another.

I'm afraid Pancho Rio is a little mistaken when he said that the earth was flooded. The bible says that God sent a mighty wind to dry up the land. They didn't leave the ark until the dove found dry land, remember?

Excellent thinking . A totally new concept . But the elephant just floated down a little every day till they reached the easier slopes. Don't look to closely at doctrine or scriptures Religion is not that at all.

The problem is you are thinking in terms of today. At the time, the earth was flooded. It took a few days for the water to recede and as we all know, elephants can swim. They would naturally hang out at the water and move down the mountain as the water subsided.

In India and Southeast Asia, they use elephants all over the place. Even in the mountains. Oh, and those who said it's not Mount Sinai, but the mountains of Ararat, are right on the money.
