My bottom front gums are really sore! They aren't red and the teeth are fine, but the gums really hurt and they are very irritated for some reason. I havent switched toothpaste or anything, so I don't know what is going on but I don't have health insurance so I CANT GO TO THE DENTIST. What can I do to make my gums stop hurting. Do your gums ever hurt? why?

I'll check out those links. I brush and floss every day tho because I am prone to cavities and I haven't been brushing hard or anything...

You can try rinsing your mouth each morning and evening with hydrogen peroxide. (No, it won't hurt you. You spit it out, don't drink it.)
It will bubble in all the places that have germs. It tastes sort of nasty, but it does help kill germs.

Do you have medical health ins.? I know you said you don't have health ins, but I'm wondering if you meant dental health. If you have medical health ins. you could check with your doc.

Sounds like you might be able to go to a public doctor and get checked even without insurance. They may not fix the problem, but they would at least assess it.

The law in the US is that if someone presents (comes to the hospital or clinic) they have to at least have their condition assessed, even if they can't pay.

You shouldnt have to suffer because you cant afford it. There is an option for un-insured and under-insured people: Dental, Vision, Rx, and Chiropractic plan: $11.95/month for an individual. No waiting periods, no limits on visits or services, no age limits, all specialists included, 100% satisfaction guaranteed, instant savings, EVERYONE QUALIFIES, on-going conditions accepted. Health and Medical plan too if you need it. Let me know what I can do to help :) Enrollment takes 10 mins or less and your plan can be used the same day. Call or message me for more info, I know how bad that kind of stuff can get. 541-258-7148 IM: starsalso@yahoo.com or racheleburke@hotmail.com email: starsalso@yahoo.com

One of the most common reasons for sore gums is improper oral hygiene. Without knowing more specific information, I'd have to assume this is the case. If so, you will need to make sure you brush several times day, each time brush for at least two minutes. You will also need to ensure that you floss at least once each day. Both of these steps will strengthen your gums, keep them clean and reduce bacterial presence.
