Most definitely- baked- with tons of butter, sour cream, chives, cheese, and ranch dressing, - darn it, I want a steak and a baked potato right now!! And it's midnight in Texas!!

Any potatoes are good, but mashed is the best, particularly if you are having sausages as well, and if you put some cheese on top of the potatoes, and it's nice buttery potatoes that haven't been made totally smooth!

Well, I like to bake the spud, then slice it thickly and fry it in a little oil. It's even better if the steak is fried in the same skillet or you use the juice/grease from the steak to fry the spud. OOOOOO grease!
