"Today's teens are being attacked by popular culture like no other generation. Hollywood, the music industry, advertisers, and even the mainstream media are using their arsenal of tools to win the battle for our teens' hearts- and so far they are winning"
I'm sorry, but the above statement is only halfway correct. The part you have left out is that today's teens are also much MUCH smarter about the music industry, advertisers and such and their methods. They are savvy to it and not impressed one bit.
Today's teens are much more likely to get a college education, remain chaste until marriage and have enough spousal and community support to be able to have children and work at the same time.
They are more intelligent, more technology aware, more willing to do the work necessary to get ahead in life than our generation would ever have thought possible. Sorry, but I cannot join an organization who's primary thesis is so negative and insulting to today's wonderful teens.

It is a sad statistic and it already shows by the lack of respect and courtesy most people display; the lack of respect for humanity, elders, and the value of life. Someone in the lineup said it would be great to get rid of the religion because it would do away with narrow-mindedness - if a person seems narrow-minded, it's because you do not look at them broadmindedly enough -that mean's compassionately. People are already so self-focused, regardless of claim to a religion or not, that it is hard to imagine less manners than what is displayed now. We still live in the best country there is, but how sad that what used to be taken for granted as "appropriateness" isn't even understood anymore as a concept. The sadness is that it has all taken place in my lifetime - and I'm only 42 years old!

Do you hear the hoofbeats of the Four Horsemen? Do you hear the cry from Jesus for His bride? Are you ready to hear the last trumpet?
Evangelism in its presnt state, will not solidify the next generation to come to God. We need to be torchbearers of His glory, bringing forth God to the people in this world. Throw away the standards and let the Holy Spirit work and bear witness of Jesus Christ. Let those experience God in a personal way, instead of the hopes that we can bring them to heaven through His blessings. We need to know Him completely, to show what we mean by communion with His Spirit.
Only when we learn to bring revival in how hearts will we learn to be powerful witnesses of Jesus Christ.

I think there is more than 4% because I'm 14 and all of my friends always look to christ. But it is sad when you think that America's future is in some of the people I know's hands! Wow! Scarry thought cause most of myfriends turn to christ but then again. Most of my classmates dont even have a religion! It is sad to think of what America might become!

Perhaps if we were to help our younger generations learn to respect and appreciate their fellow humans we wouldn't have to worry about their souls because their hearts would then take care of that. I know for a fact that far more than 4% of "this new generation" turn to a "new spirituality" of hope, whether it be through Christ or Buddha or some "universal source."
P.S. I'd be very interested to know how you get statistics about future events. :)

America will become what it was always meant to become...a place where people may worship, or not, according to their own beliefs. If you don't agree with what the media and other industries are putting out there, don't expose your child to it. It's called Parenting...you might want to try it.

I think it will look like it does now, except the preachers in the evangelical churches will be living in apartments and driving second hand cars. Thats what all the outcry is all about. the preachers are scared of losing their money. to them, religion is a business.

"We can't let the media and popular culture brainwash our children--that's our job! The media tells them to be tolerant and kind to others, and to be respectful of other beliefs! We must stop this nonsense and shove Christ into their hearts before they learn to use critical thinking!"

We would look much better. Look at us now with that christian idiot in the White House - perfect example.
A fewer number of little boys will be walking funny.
Look at the dark ages - religion at it's best.
