All things being equal you lost weight because you created a calorie deficit in your body. In other words if your body needs 2000 calories to maintain your weight and you only gave it 1700 calories there is not enough "fuel" to maintain the amount of muscles and fat in your body. I hope that you lost fat and not your muscles, but if you are only 13 and have a normal weight (not overweight) loosing weight is not good for you health. Please reconsider loosing addition weight.
Instead, choose a good exercise program with the focus on balanced core development. This way you'll build muscles, will look good and you get to eat more of your favorite foods (hopefully good foods), because when you exercise your body needs more "fuel" (more calories) to build muscle.

Yes. there is an explanation, but probably none of us have it. It might be a good idea for you to have a check-up at the doctor's.
Did you take any drug or medication? Did you smoke? Either of those things might make you lose weight.
The other thing is, did you weigh both before and after the weight loss on the same scale, and was that a balanced weight scale?

Your defitnition of eating less is an almond a day. that is not a good thing, you better start eating more or your gonna be looking like nicole richie, get over your insecurities now before it is too late. Do not compare your body to other peoples bodies, just look at your body and say hey I look good, or this could get in better shape, I think I will take a run. Or maybe i should limit my fast food intake. But 9 lbs. in a week! Not good.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

It could be that your body is losing weight bcuz your eating less or i know this sounds gross if you have lots if gas and really foul smelling diarrhea that might mean you have worms, in your lower intestines that are causing your body not to absorb nutrition and vitamins...have your mom take you to your doctor just in case.

my suggestion would be for your parents to: take you to the doctors for a check up. it is not normal for a person to loose weight that fast even dieting. you want to be careful that there's nothing else going on

you are probably losing water. be careful of how you lose the weight, it can be dangerous. What is your weight and height right now? Does your mom know your trying to lose weight?
Please speak to her about it, she can take you to your doctor and they can figure something out for you.
