No, it isn't necessary unless you just want to. It is even acceptable to send invitations only to guests that will be coming from out of town. A simple line in your newspaper announcement that says something like "Friends and relatives are welcome to attend, out-of town invitations only will be sent." If your wedding party doesn't know when and where your wedding is without an engraved invitation, there is a real communication problem there! Congrats, and good luck.

If you are inviting family of people in your wedding party (thier mom or dad or sister or brother) then I would just so they do know and feel invited. If its just the people in your wedding party attending then I wouldnt bother becuase they already know they are invited. Just make sure you fidn out if they are bringing someone so you can keep count on the people attending.

Yes, usually the people in the wedding are your closest friends and family and they'd usually like to keep an invitation as a keepsake. Plus it's just nice

Most people do. I don't know if it's so that the people in the wedding party will have a keepsake or what. Honestly, I think it's a waste of $$ and paper, but we do it anyway! I did because my Mom told me too.

Yes, therefore you will know who they are bringing to the wedding and reception. It will make it easier for you to keep an accurate list. Also, they will have the invitation as a keepsake of your marriage.

Really it would be up to you. I would ask how they would feel if you did. I didnt send them to mine and I have been in a wedding party and never got one eather. I would say it is your call.

It's not necessary because they have confirmed they will be there but the girls tend to like them as souvenirs.
