As a pastor it means I am not under anyone's control, since I have been set free by God, but that I willingly serve others in the same was that Jesus, who was under no one's control, came to serve the people willingly.

These are Martin Luther's words to Pope Leo X in 1520 CE.
In his many papers, nailed to the church door, he questions the churchs position of ultimate authority on earth. In his third such letter, "The Freedom of a Christian", he wrote: "A Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none; A Christian is a perfectly dutiful servant of all, subject to all".
This seeming contradiction is meant to elucidate the idea that Jesus' original message was for men to rise up and be their own master, and in so doing, serve all (both self and others).

1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
Defination of Subject to...From G5259 and G5021; to subordinate; reflexively to obey: - be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto.
I am servant to God and only to God. You on the other hand, did not get that from the bible.

My God is the King of Kings; He is beneath no one. Angels bow before Him. At the sound of His name, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall profess that He is Lord. That being said, He choose to serve us and give His life so that we would have eternal life.
