I would think it's because of the outer skin of the kernels that can't be broken down by the digestive enzymes. I'm not sure though I'm not a biologist.

It appears in my poo all the time too. If I had a fever there will be popcorn shooting out of me.

Corn kernels are pretty tough to digest.

It's because of the tough plant cell walls we call it cellulose and it is what counts as fibre in our diet. Our appendix used to digest this stuff through bacteria and fermentation but now our appendix is pretty much useless and we can't digest cellulose at all. Jules, Australia.

Density...that kernal is really desne for its size and makes its way outta your body before it is digested. Stop scarffing it down and chew your food.
