Jews, Christians, and Muslims if they all worship the same God? They only disagree on how to worship Him and whether or not Jesus was the son of God and what His name is. So why can't they put their differences aside, stop killing one another, and realize that they're all children of God?

Because they all think they are right and everyone else is wrong. When it comes to faith, there just isn't any reasoning with people because it's not a logical or empirical way of looking at life. Actually, I think a lot of the problem is tribal rather than religious. We define ourselves by what we are not and see other beliefs as unwelcome competition. It's a bit like labeling the conflict in Northern Ireland as religious - it patently is not, but those Protestant/Catholic labels sure do come in handy for those 30 second news segments.

I think that we should all follow whatever religion we believe to the best of our abilities. I don't know of any religion that says hate, hurt others and be judgemental. If a religion says that they are the only one, it's up to us as intellectual people to realize that this is impossible. We're all one despite what we call god or how we worship him. All the universal truths say the same thing. People that go to the extremes need to really take a look at what they're preaching or believing and realize the intent.

I wish there were no fighting between Jews, Muslims, Christians.

Having said that...

From everything I have read and studied, the Jews, Christians and Muslims do ***not*** worship the same God.

Hey, even Christians and Jews and Muslims fight amongst themselves, because one sect doesn't like the way the other sect worships THE SAME GOD! How crazy (foolish) is that?

PS. Previous poster, you're an idiot for the cut and past job. No one's here to read a novel.

I see your point & agree, but Muslims & Judeo/Christians don't really worship the same God. Some people hate people who don't agree with them. You see it here all the time, usually with atheists though.
I think if people would see others as individuals, we wouldn't fight so much.

Ask a Muslim and chances are that they will not agree.

We are all children of God, the divisions amongst us are of human origin, and secular in nature, (just hiding behind the false pretense of religion at times).

Once again, we live in diversity since the world is populated with so many different beliefs.....There wouldn't be a lesson to be learned if everything was in continuous harmony.......I agree with you that we are all children of God and even though his (or her) name is different it all boils down to the same thing......Please remember, some people haven't had the opportunity to be educated about such things.......

yeah right, "there is no God but Allah" they make it very clear they don't like the Jewish God. and by saying Jesus is not the Son of God, they are taking away half the Christian faith.
so you see, the differences are too big to simplify as just a disagreement over name.

They don't believe in the same God. The only thing Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths have in common is that we all came from Abraham (I think that was the name, one of those). After that it is all different.

Some of them disagree about it being the same god.
