My dad had colon cancer a couple of years ago. He made it through and is now cancer free by the grace of God. Many people prayed for him and still do. I will pray for your dad. God made us and he can fix us if we only ask and believe.

If the doctor has certified your dad for Hospice, I'm afraid this means that he will not recover. In order to have Hospice care, the patient has to be "certified" for Hospice by the attending physician, and this certification states that nothing more can be done medically. Hospice should make sure that he is comfortable and will handle any pain or discomfort that may come up. I suggest that you ask for a meeting with the Hospice people, they will be able to help you.

Sweetie, I know what your going through and it ain't no smooth road. You are probably angry like I was that I couldn't cure him. I prayed and prayed. My father died at 54. That was 7 years ago. Even though you might not see it, you are so blessed to have him all these years. Dont give up and enjoy everyday. If he wants to talk, LISTEN.. I was in denial the night before my Daddy died and I wouldn't let him talk like it was the end. I can never have that night back.I have learned now, losing a brother 2 years ago at 42 that Gods will is going to be done either way. Healing here on earth or Heaven. The best gift you can offer him is the Love of God . If Y'all ha vent ask Jesus into your hearts,, Please do it now so you will know this is not Goodbye forever , just a moment...... Ask God for comfort, understanding, and strength to see you through.. I'm praying for you...May God be with you all. I also have a brother who is 42 now and is incarcerated who just found out that he has melanoma eye cancer. I"m scared, Pray for us too please... Lisa 41

I''m sorry I don't & I have never lost a parent. However I know everybody's bodies give out on them at some point. Whether by accident, cancer, or just old age. I could lose a child just as easily as any other person in this life, I don't think theres a way to prepare for it. Just hold on to good thoughts. I hope it's not a painful cancer!

well, not right now, my I have had a few family members with cancer in times past. encourage him to keep his spirits up. my grandpa cured himself at the age of 84 from cancer, by meditating on positive things very hard every day - it took him four years! - but his was able to do that because he got a lot of loving support the whole time.

well no, but my grandmother died only a few weeks ago she had cancer, but it was the heart that gave way, the cancer was the size of an orange going over her heart causing her to have a heart attack which killed her. Appreantly she had no pain tho, she died at my aunts place in her rocking chair. We all were expecting it.

I do hope that your father is ok. my prays are deffiently with you

Is there a vaccine for his form of lung cancer now? It would probably be in stage 3 of clinical trials if it exists. I hope this helps.
