my boyfriend in the army overseas gave me his calling card number and PIN to call him when I want. He said that it won't show up on my bill but I just want to make sure before I make all these calls to some 800 number and have my parents get all suspicious

the purpose of a phone card is to keep it off your bill, I use one all the time to make long-distance phone calls. any charges go on the card not your bill!
If you don't trust it right away, try making the call from a public phone.
My phone card is a 1-800 number too.
Trust!

Public phones will charge your card more though!

It won't show up on the bill. If you use it to say... make a death threat to the president; the phone company will have records so they could trace it to your house. Will your parents find out you are calling your boyfirend. From the phone card use no, but remember it all comes out in the wash. If you're doing something that could end you up in trouble reconsider. Be careful.

That is the whole point of the card. If it is the typical 800 prepaid card (like Sam's club sells) there is no phone bill, due you can use the card on ANY phone.

I don't thank so. but tell your parents, they will more than likely be happy you have a calling card. And when they get the bill if it is on there it will show no charge.

DON'T CALL THE 1-800 #.. it'll charge you heavily. look on the back of the card. there should be local numbers. call one of those.
