Perhaps they mean to say their image or way of believing Christ is different than others.

The Apostle Paul (in the New Testament) indicates that there are False Christs. He also indicates that if you follow "another Christ" (than the true Christ) then you would not be saved by the "other Christ".

------------
Example #1: The Mormon Jesus

The Mormons for instance believe in a Different Jesus Christ from the Jesus Christ of the Bible.

The Mormon Jesus is the blood-brother of Lucifer. The Christian Jesus is not.

The Mormon Jesus is a created being. The Christian Jesus is not.

The Mormon Jesus is not an eternal being (who always existed). The Christian Jesus is.

The Mormon Jesus was the result of sex between Elohim and Mary. The Christian Jesus was not.

The Spirit of Mormon Jesus was the result of sex between Elohim and one of his many wives in heaven. The Christian Jesus was not.

According to some Mormon church leaders, the Mormon Jesus was married and had children. The Christian Jesus was not married and did not have children.

---------------
Example #2: The Jehovah's Witness Jesus

The JW Jesus is a created being. The Christian Jesus is not.

The JW Jesus is not an eternal being (who always existed). The Christian Jesus is.

The JW Jesus is the archangel Michael. The Christian Jesus is not.

----------------
Example #3: The Hare Krishna Jesus

Based on the writings of some of their leaders... The HK Jesus is the son of Krishna. The Christian Jesus is not.

The HK Jesus is not an eternal being. The Christian Jesus is.

----------------
I hope these examples above show that there are indeed different alleged Jesus' and different alleged Christ's (and that it is possible to believe in different "Jesus Christs". The Bible indicates however that there is only one true Jesus Christ and that is the Jesus Christ of the Bible.

Cordially,
John

Okay. Here's the point that I'm going to make. Let's say I'm standing in front of a whiteboard with two lines on it: one is blue and the other is red. I know that the blue line is blue and the red line is red. But, let's say that I've gotta friend, who calls the blue line red, and says that the red line is blue. Now, I know darn well that what he calls "blue" is actually red, and vice versa. So, let's say that he has to prove to a judge that that red line is blue. The judge knows that the red line is red, so the man will lose his case. But the point is is that red is red, no matter what you think. And it's the same way with Jesus. If you think that "Jesus" is the guy down your street that makes his own sausages and likes to hop around on a pogo stick all the time, are you believing in the same Jesus. Therefore, it really does depend on WHO you believe Jesus is.

Acts 20:24b and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the Grace of God.;

Romans 3:23-28 For all have sinned, and came short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of them who believe in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law of works? No: but by the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
(Romans 15)

Galations 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.....
But I certify to you, that the Gospel that was preached by me is not from man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

There is only one Jesus Christ from Nazareth, but when one can't accept who He is in the bible, He/She will add or take away from the Word of God. That is where we get the DiVinci Code, Apocraphal writings, Mormon book, Koran, etc. All these preach a different Jesus than the One who died on the cross for our sins and raise from the dead for our justification. Salvation is a free gift of God & not by works. The Son of God, Jesus Christ is Lord.

Those that add to God's Word is in real trouble. Regarding other doctrines = false prophet = hell
The apocraphal writings will make the bible seem erroneous. The bible is actually the most accurately transcribed book ever because it is the Lord's book.

A must read is "The Authority of the Bible, Why We Can Trust It. Why We must obey It. " in the July-August 2006 Decision Magazine.

There is only one (1), count them, ONE, Jesus Christ. It appears that you have some doubts. Get a Holy Bible, start reading in the first chapter of Matthew and through to the end of Revelations. That'll keep you busy for awhile. As a supplement to this, who might want to read anything by Billy Graham and Max Lucado. They will clarify any of your questions. The Patriarch.

because Your god is yours, however i dont believe in one and i would like to suggest that people will stop pushing their religion on athiests and agnotstics, and i am also tired of people calling me a demon or a demon worshiper, that is not atheism and i would like to tell all of you the truth of the meanings of atheism, agnosticism, satanism, and gothic religions... atheism: disbelief in the existance of God/Gods, agnosticism: The belief that there can be no proof either that God exists or that God does not exist, satanism: The worship of Satan characterized by a travesty of the Christian rites, and gothic: A style of rock music that often evokes bleak, lugubrious imagery. so in conclusion athiests and agnostics are not the same as satanism. and some religions think there are many gods, however i dont.

The bible itself tell you that people preach a different Jesus that died on calvarys cross...as a matter of fact:

The catholics preach a different jesus
the mormons preach a different jesus
the jehovahs witnesses preach a different jesus
islam preaches a different jesus

The bible says in Revelations 22:18-19 if any man adds unto the words written in the book God would add the plagues written about unto them and if they take away anything God would remove their names from the book of life the ho;y city and the things written in the book...

So all these do one or the other...Catholics add unto telling man that he has to align himself to the church.and do the sacraments ...instead of it simply being romans 10:9 believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that God has raised him from the dead and thou shalt be saved...

the mormons add and take away who Jesus is
the jeh..witn...add unto and take away who jesus is
and islam All add unto or take away or both...

so in these cases they are describing a different Jesus because the Jesus I know ...Layed down his life as a sacrifice for me and you ...he rose again from the dead with all power ...He is God in the flesh ...king of kings and Lord of lords...the lion of the tribe of judah..the Alpha and Omega I could go on all night ....I know in whom I believe and I will not take away from the living word...or add anythind more to the simple messege of believing that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and no man will come unto the Father but by him,..God bless

I only have one father and only one mother. If I ever thought otherwise I would consider myself for the insane asylum. Either you know or believe. Most people wouldn't know or care.

The concept of the one and only Messiah is not owned by Christianity alone. Muslim belief, for an example, follows a very similar path, in the sense that there's a "father" [Allah] and a "son" or Messiah [Mohammad].

Hope it helps. ^__^
