What time is it?

Question

I have a clock that chimes the hour on the hour, and chimes once on the half hour. For example, at 4 o'clock it will chime 4 times, and at 4:30 it will chime once. Here is the situation: I am in my house. I hear the clock chime once. A half hour later I hear the clock chime once again. A half hour later it chimes once again. As I am leaving my house a half hour later, I hear the clock chime once as I close the door. What time was it when I left?

There is a legitimate answer to this.

i guess it's 2:00 o'clock, but you only heard the first chime of the two chimes since you were halfway out the door. am i right??? because i can't think of any other time when one would hear 4 consecutive single chimes.

once @ 12:30 once @1:00 once @ 1:30 Twice @ 2:00 but was only heard once because the door was closed on the second chime. It is 2 O'clock

second chime: 1 am
third chime: 1:30 am
fourth chime: 2 am...left before you heard the next chime

2:00 one chime then you shut the door & missed the last chime
