Right. You ate a lot of fire ants, since you didn't see them on your food. And you're not in the hospital.

Somehow, I can't imagine not noticing "a lot of" fire ants. Somehow I can't imagine them going down your throat without leaving their reaction to being eaten. Your throat should still be swollen and you should have a breathing tube.

So "basicly" you belong in a mental hospital. I can refer you to several good psychiatrists or, if there is any truth to your story, a myrmecologist. Look it up.

Believe it or not, the best way is to envision something killing the ants. If the dream reoccurs, you may have a panic disorder. The feeling that you have towards ants is unrealistic, there is no basis for these feelings. Talking to a psychologist or therapist might help

If they didn't bite you then I am not sure they were ants then. Ants always bite when they come in contact with you. It may have been chiggers, I know its not any better than ants. I am so sorry that happened to you, it would freak me out too. Try having a drink to calm your nerves, that is if you drink.

Not weird at all. When I was younger, I ate a bunch of chips before I noticed black ants in the bag. It was a while before I could look at potato chips again without feeling nauseous.

Stop taking psychoactive drugs first. Then learn to watch your food. I think you might be missing a few key survival instincts. Maybe your lot in life is to fall victim so you don't produce any offspring with similar issues.

get over it? stuff happens. a few years ago i got a huge spider bite in the middle of the night.

i couldn't sleep for days... and i spent the rest of that night with the lights on, huddled in the center of my bed, completely stripped of blankets, pillows and sheets.... i could feel them all over me. it was awful... the welt from the bite lasted for WEEKS!!!

I'm still freaked out by spiders, but I don't feel them every time I get in bed. Only time will help you get over it, so just consider it a really shitty life-experience, like when you get pooped on by a pigeon, and just live with it,,,, it will go away eventually.
