I just found out from my dog's trainer that the short-nosed dogs - including your guys - have the worst gas of all the dogs. As a dog groomer myself, I am faced with their odor too. The best solution I know of is activated charcoal biscuits added to their diet. And you will want to consult with your Vet about the best dog food to help modify their gas. Needless to say, no table scraps as this will make it worse. I'm afraid there's not much you can do about the gas that IS passed, aside from burning some candles and making sure the dogs go out after dinner to do their business. Dog farts are just part of dog ownership, unfortunately

Gas generally comes from something your dog ate. First, eliminate all people food. If the problem is a result from the dog food you should consider switching foods. Lamb based (often considered one of the best types for dogs) can give some dogs very, very bad gas. Chicken-based usually is best for dogs with flatulance problems. You can also give your dog 1/2 cup of plain yogurt per day. The natural bacterial cultures in yogurt can help your dog's digestion.

The only time my dogs have a horrible gas smell is if I feed them chicken scraps and other table food. They never had it when I fed them only Nutro- Max or Science Diet dog food only, no table scraps. It is better for them and cuts back on their waste also because it is all natural with no animal bi-products. I give them an occasional piece of cheese for a special treat and this doesn't give them gas, thank goodness!

feed them better food
aviod SOY in dog food as this often causes Gas...
Yucca is a good ingredient for helping control odors
avoid food with lots of filler - fillers are hard on the tummy and result in more gas.. any food from Grocery store or Wal Mart has lots of filler and very little meat protein so you have to feed more - filler is wheat, corn, by-products, soy

We have very large dogs, but for that problem we get charcoal dog bones from the pet shop. We call them 'f*rt biskies'. If any coaxing is needed to get pooch to eat, just add a morsel of their favorite treat. Repeat as needed. REALLY helps. It sometimes helps to change the brand of food also. We found one storebrand made ours so gassy they almost peeled the wallpaper.

this could be a sign that the dog is eating his food to fast. to eliminate this problem spred the food out on a cookie sheet so he will have to slow down. if this doesnt work try changing his diet and consulting the veterinarian

Change his diet. Something he eats is giving him gas. Check with the vet also.

Not a day goes by - when my wife asked that about me...lol. Avoid feeding him/her eggs or undercooked/spicey meat.
