That depends. Cream soups are definitely bad, low fat vegetable soups are good, and clear consumme or broth are good, too. The big problem with soups is that they are usually high in sodium. This causes the body to retain water which can conceal real weight loss. The good thing about soups is that they are filling and appear to satisfy hunger well.
