Sure, once they repay the 68 billion dollars a year we're forking out to support them. Until then, no.

There is a case in my area that shows how much our govt. bends over backward for these people. There was an illegal hit a couple head on. The man was killed instant an his wife later died as well. Now the illegal had at least 20 different convictions ranging from at least 2 DUI's to theft, assaulting an officer, and driving on a revoked in about a 2 or 3 year period. But seems he got a slap on the wrist at worst. If he had been where most citizens would have been with this record, in jail, this wouldn't have happened. NO I won't respect them I don't criminals. Their very first act was to break our laws and Washington's magic wand theory of poof your legal amnesty doesn't change anything.

Respect, (like citizenship) should be earned....Amnesty will not happen. Based on past experiences with Amnesty we as Americans know that it is not a wise move. Amnesty is what brought America to this crisis in the first place.

get amnesty does that mean I am going to have to pay all my illegals minumin wage and provide them a place to live that has running water ?

I guess I just fire all of these and just hire the next group that moves in though the border.

I wonder if this should work in other areas, if someone has been stealing from their job for the past five years and not been caught can they get amnesty also,

how about those top 10 FBI most wanted, if the FBI don't catch them in 5 years they get off free ??

First off, it will be a cold day in you know where before they get amnesty. Secondly, if they came to the U.S. legally, like the rest of the immigrants have in the past. They would have been able to stay. So until they do everything like they are supposed to to be here legally, there is no way in heck i will treat them with respect. BACK to the HOMELAND OR BUST BABY!!!

Will I respect the buttholes that stole my kid's motorcycles if the government gives them titles to them?
will I respect a murderer if he gets a presidential pardon (no names but it starts with Bill Clinton)?
will I respect a date rapist because he marries his victim?
will I respect peeping tom if he washes my windows?
will I respect a child molester if he tutors?
will I respect a blackmailer because he keeps the one hour foto place in business?
will I respect a vampire because he likes AB+ and I am type 'O+'?
will I respect illegal immigrants when and if there is another amnesty?
nononononononononononononononono!

IF they ever get amnesty it will defeat all the reasons that the pro-illegal movement claims that we need them. They will no longer do "the jobs americans won't do for cheaper wages", so what's the point of amnesty? Everybody is touting that freakin' line. Once they get amnesty, all those cheap laborers won't do those jobs either. Definately not a win win situation. What's your argument to that you criminal conspirator???

Respect must be earned and not given outright. If they do get amnesty, they must earn the respect to be in this country.
Amnesty for what? Coming here illegally, sucking up welfare and taking jobs? I think not. If they truly wish to be here. they should go through the proper channels and do it right, and maybe try to assimilate to our AMERICAN ways.
Ya know it's funny... What part of ILLEGAL do people not understand???

I'm not sure there is a guarantee that will happen. Nevertheless, history shows that the change in laws does not impact people's deep seated hatred toward certain groups. It will exist with or without amnesty.

I try to give everyone respect. However, it is hard to believe that all of those millions of people want to become Americans. Sadly these immigrants believe in having HUGE families. The question is how much welfare can we all afford to pay them and all of their kids and their kids kids and so on for many more millions. Can we tell them about birth control?
