If you have Windows XP, do a System Restore to before the date that you installed the older version. Otherwise, you may just have to go into your Program Files folder and manually delete Norton completely from your system. I don't recommend this method, but if you feel comfortable enough doing this, knock yourself out.

If you are able to uninstall 2006, my REAL advice would be to just install AVG Anti-Virus Software at this address: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1.

It's free, and it works just as well, if not better than Norton or McAfee, plus it doesn't have conflicts like the big boys do.

Go to add or remove programs, completely uninstall, and remove your Norton 2002 anti virus software program. When you have done this, only then, install your new Norton 2006 anti virus software program. This should solve your problem, fast.
Good Luck

contact norton technical support, or a computer shop to help you.

Or you can uninstall norton 2002 first, and then install 2006.

Rock on norton though, cause McAffe is not better!

Hope it helps!
