yes. it is normal for them to shed a whisker from time to time. I've found them around the house on occasion. They will grow back. I don't believe that it is a sign of illness. I'd be concerned if i noticed other behaviour that would indicate illness. If it was just an occasional whisker falling out i wouldn't be alarmed.

Hi There
Yes it is normal for cats to lose a wiker or two. But dont worry as some of the others say they do grow back. I myself have a cat and he loses his wiskers from time to time as well.

it is very normal. cat shed their wiskers to make room for new ones growing in, otherwise they would be wiskerballs!! It is not a sign of illness

Whisker loss can happen as a reaction to stress, some breeds (Rex coated cats) and individuals are more likely to have problems with brittle or fragile whiskers.
It is possible this is a reaction to the antibiotic--but not likely. If the cat feels well otherwise--I would probably just wait a while and see if the whiskers return.

Yes they do.I have had three cats at once before and I would find a whisker every once in a while. They do grow back. The cat I have now has all black whiskers except for one white one.It has shed and come back before.

sure it is normal, cat whiskers are like human hair, some fall out to be replaced by new ones, some ends break or get bent so do not worry they are not sick it is normally just like they shed the sheath off there claws (like our finger nails grow to a certain length and then break off) so do not worry have a great fourth and remeber to keep your kitty indoors if she is usually and outdoor cat cause the fireworks can really scare them
