Good question!! My dog does that, but only I'll be carrying something heavy and he walks right in front of me and just stands there. I try to go around him and he goes the same way I'm trying to go then he lays on his back because he thinks I'm gonna hurt him, which I NEVER do. Sometimes I think he's a little stupid, but I love him to death anyway.

That's what my little Daschund does sometimes I've accidently stepped on him soo he's learning to stay from under my feet. Also Gussie Mae our Boxer & Pit mix she likes to get in my way too.

They want you to stop walking around the house & give them some scratches, or rubs, or treats, or play fetch. They want loving & attention!

Well of course if you have a spoiled dog like me, he just wants to be with you and spend time with you. He feels protected around you.

Because they are excited and they love you! Mine does that early in the morning cause he"s excited we finally woke up. Sometimes he does it when he really wants to go out!

They want attention but I think also it's showing you that you ARE top dog and they are submissive to you.
