Perms come in all different kinds. Some are for colored hair, some are for dry, some are for sensitive. Find out which your hair dresser gave you and go from there. If she did give you a strong perm, it could have damaged some hair, making it weak and broke off some. If that is the case then next time use a more sensitive perm.
If that didn't happen, then it is very possible that stress had played a part. Give it some more time and see how it goes. Good Luck.

it should make your hair look thicker. where did u get the perm? depending on the length of the hair, u usually need another perm within six months! get a good shampoo and conditioner...leave cond. on for 15-30 min. w/a plastic cap or plastic grocery bag tied tight. then go to a salon and have your hair trimmed and see what the stylist can tell you. it's difficult to tell you on-line. it's something that a professional should look at. the perm should have grown out enough not to be having as much of an effect on you.

Sure! Perms are gorgeous it is dependent if your hair is damaged or not already although. You should get the smaller curls sense your hair is long. When you obtained a body wave or the massive curls it will weigh it down too much. If your hair is damaged don't do it! But when your hair is pleasant then go for it it will make your hair appear thicker and provides it texture.

I used to have baby thin hair. After countless perms, my hair is actually thicker. I don't think that caused the thinning. Maybe just age, everything changes as you get older.

i don't think it makes your hair thinner but it may feel thin because it's smoothed out alot. but dont get too many perms because my friend told me her grandmother use to get alot of perms back than, and now she's losing her hair.

Definitely. Many chemicals for your hair will make it weaker. I've worned many perms and my hair has always come out thin and broken off.
