I think life is a test and if it is lived correctly, you pass and move on to heaven. If you don't pass, you go to hell.
I think that living correctly is when a person enjoys their life. When a person makes mistakes and learns from them. If they mess up really bad, they ask for forgiveness and they will be forgived. I think that those who have done bad and don't ask for forgiveness,go to hell. That's what life is. A test.

I've thought about this for a long time, about whether or not life is a "test". I don't think it is. There are just too many mountainsides where too many flowers blow carefree in the breeze for life to be a test. Too many cats and dogs that just want to go out into the yard and take in the fresh air, and roll around in the grass. Too many majestic sunsets that paint the evening sky for the pure pleasure of all human beings on the planet. God doesn't want his beings to go through life nervously twiddling their pencils over some test that they first of all don't GET and that they may be in danger of failing. The whole "test" business is what society teaches, it what religion teaches. It's a model of looking at life that works for some people, but does not work for me.
The way that I have come to answer that question that you asked - What is life? is this - Life is what it CAN be. The sheer spirit of possibility is what life is and is what God is.

Life may indeed be a test but don't worry about it. Enjoy your life to the best of your ability. Do what you can to help others around you enjoy their lives as well. Don't worry about whether you are going to end up in heaven or hell. Enjoy it while you are here because NO ONE really knows what happens next.

I think, no, I know that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the LIFE and no one goes to the Father execpt through Him. If you know Jesus, then you can experience real life. Not perfect life filled with no problems (for they are a result of the fall of sin) but you can experience a joy that you will find no other place. A peace that passes all understanding. A grace and mercy that repeats itself over and over. I deserve nothing but I receive love, grace and mercy anew every morning. This is all in the Gospel of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John and the book of Lamentations from the Holy Bible.

There are only two spiritual facts that may be observed everyday. In this universe, there is the law of love and the law of violence (both take countless forms). They are counter-opposing forces.
Man has created some 2000+ religions to interpret these forces. Where Jesus is in all this I am not factually privy too. (I was born into a Catholic family, and it was Catholics that drove me away. I'm sure any Protestant church could have accomplished the job equally well. Or Muslim, or Jewish, or yadda, yadda, yadda. I have a healthy independent thinking mind.)
We flow from unconcious, to concious, to a future form of either.Period. Prior to this conciousness or beyond it, is a moot point.
Thank you and have a nice day.

I can easily agree with some parts there but I don't really think life is a test. Life is.....well.......life. I don't think it is anything else, really. If a person screws up, they screw up. It's their choice whether or not they want to fix it and it is their own problem if they don't. Also, I don't think that there is a wrong or right way to live life. People can live life however they want to live it. The only part I really agree with is screwing up and asking for forgiveness. I'm not saying it's a right way to live but it is a very good way to clear your conscience.
I have to admitt.....the subject is a very good debate topic.

Life is an exchange of energy. Living well is a personal choice. what makes you happy and satisfied probably isn't going to work for someone else.
Do what you want with your life. Do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Heaven and hell are make believe, designed to control your life.

You have a worthy definition... Something I'd say...at another time
But right now!!?? I say life is a baby growing into a kid into an adult, growing up with desperation, gaining momentum, having fun, trying to learn what it's all about, then nearing death, desperately grasping for a real purpose, and not finding anything else, giving up and grasping for the old god, because it's the only possible answer out there for the moment, except for us mean athiests..hehe

But by whose standards are you going by? Whose rules do you judge yourself by? A murderer would tell you that it is okay to kill someone. If you do, does that still make you a good person just because a murderer told you that it is okay? A murderer can enjoy killing someone. Does that mean that he/she is living correctly? The only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus. You can't go along living life living by your own rules and making them up as you go just to fut your life and lifestyle. The only way to receive forgiveness is to REPENT of your sins, not just ask forgiveness. Please accept Christ as your savior! I don't want to live an eternity without you! I love you and Christ loves you! He died for your sins along with mine.

I think that there can be as many ways to describe life as there are numbers before infinity. yes you could say life is a test but then again you could also just think of life as a past time. I personally just think of it as a mystery that not even Einstein could solve....and that's the way it should be. But i also think that in order to live a meaningful life you must learn to love yourself before you can love another human being because in order to know how to respect another you must know how to respect yourself

Life is full of joy, happiness and all other good stuff if you believe in God. God is the only way to heaven. In a way, life also can be considered a test.
