Yes, I've been taking it for six months. I suffered with chronic pain for several years, but I have found relief with cymbalta 60 mg a day. I still have pain, but it has decreased by at least 50% as of right now I have no side effects from it. hugs!

Scientific studies in the laboratory have shown that Cymbalta is a balanced and selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SSNRI), and that it affects two naturally-occurring chemicals in the brain and in the spinal cord, serotonin and norepinephrine.
Research suggests that these chemicals play a role in depression and pain.
Depression may be caused by an imbalance of naturally-occurring chemicals, serotonin and norepinephrine, in the brain and the body. In the brain, these two chemicals are thought to be associated with mood. These same chemicals are thought to be associated with regulating and reducing feelings of pain that come from the body.
If these chemicals are out of balance, the effect can be felt in both the brain and body. You can feel both the emotional and painful physical symptoms of depression.
Many antidepressants target one chemical, serotonin. Cymbalta also targets a second chemical, norepinephrine. In clinical trials, Cymbalta was proven effective in treating depression, both its emotional and physical symptoms.
Cymbalta is not a narcotic.
You should NOT take Cymbalta (duloxetine HCL) if:
You are allergic to duloxetine hydrochloride or other ingredients in Cymbalta.
You currently or have recently taken monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).
You have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.
You are taking Mellaril® (thioridazine).
Other most common side effects included (listed in order of frequency):
Dry mouth
Constipation
Decreased appetite
Fatigue
Sleepiness
Increased sweating

I've been on Cymbalta for about a year now. It's really helped me a lot- to the point that even people I work with have noticed it that I'm not as 'moody'.
The only side affect I noticed was sleepiness, but that's gone away now. It really seems to work, at least for me.

I am taking it now. I have been on it for 6 months. I has helped with my depression alittle. However, I have major recurrent depression and have been on several different meds before and also I am taking 2 other meds too to help with my other disorder. But I have heard good things from other people that do like Cymbalta.
