I am very short for my age and I have long hair but I feel like it makes me look even shorter. I really want to get my haircut short (about shoulder length or a bit shorter) but I'm not sure how I want it. I would love something with bangs (probably like sidesweep bangs) to hide my gigantic forehead but I am not sure if bangs would look good on my face (i have an oval shaped face). If anybody has ANY ideas please tell me. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

I read in Seventeen a few months ago just about this! They said if you are shorter than 5'2'', which I'm guessing you are, to make your hair shoulder length. It will make you look taller. I suggest getting side swept bangs. Trust me, it looks good on almost anyone. Also, get your hair layered or angled (but not both). If you really want something different, try getting natural-looking highlights. That would look very pretty.

I have an oval face and a big forehead, too. I had sideswept bangs when I first got it cut, but a section of my forehead could still be seen and I think it just made it appear larger because more attention was brought to that one section. Eventually I just went with a full-on fringe to completely hide it. Whether it suits my face shape or not, the covering of my forehead outweighs any negatives. I'm quite satisfied with it. My hair is very short, though, which makes my face look "longer". I think bangs and shoulder length hair would be nice.

i think shoulder hair lenght will be great, avoid the bangs thing instead tell your hairstylist to do a layer cuts in such a way that your hair will be layered in different levels adding more dimensions to it.

Short hair definately makes girls look older and more sophisticated. You should talk to your stylist about your options. Tell her the look you're going for and have her give you some ideas.

i dont think that cutting your hair short will be the best thing for you but insted i think that if you cut it in medium length with long layers it should creat more of a demintion of medium height insted of "short" height but haveing to long or to short of hair could reverse that effect.
