If Jesus died for our sins, and now Christians are trying to keep people from sinning, why would you put Jesus out of a job? It just seems rude.

It is not a question of keeping people from sinning...Christ paid the price by atoning for our sins at Gethsemane for all of the sins of the world from Adam till my great great great grandkids who haven't even been born yet..of course he atoned for everyone past, present and future and so no matter how much or how little you sin..it is considered paid for....HOWEVER...by living a Christ like life...you can feel better for not being the one who caused him to suffer because of YOUR sins. Christ's was the only one who has God as his father..as such he was the only person who could choose to give up his life and take it back again via ressurrection which he did 3 days later. Christ's job will never end until we are all living in his presence again...

Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world. It is you that is sad if you have not trusted in what He done on the cross for you. He died for you sins. He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

How can anyone prevent anyone else from 'sinning'...it is a personal act? These aforementioned Christians...not all of them as a group, by the way, 'say' this of Jesus...but the ones who are, are placing their own feelings onto Him. This is also something that many religions do with their concept of God...infuse God with their own feelings.

We can't Keep people from sinning. We are human and we all are going to sin. We make Jesus death in vain by not bringing people to Him.

Christians aren't trying to keep you from sinning, personally, what you do in your own life, is your business, however, I can tell you what the repercussions of your choice will bring, according to the Bible. it's up to you to do whatever you feel needs to be done. Christians are simply passing on the message of Christ, as the Bible says to do.

Im not a christian, but i do know that because of him apparently dying for our sins, we are supposed to be perfect images of him and all that jazz......face it there are bad people out there and there are some really good ones too, its a fact of life, all you can do is your best and to try not to become one of the bad ones.

And any way if i thought he was even romotely real, i think he would be much happier not having to do his job anymore.....

Jesus wants us not to sin, since he gave up so much for us I think it's the least we can do

We just like to stand up for our beliefs when we are backed up into a corner. We are being forced to live in a society that tells us that it is okay to sin and we are getting sick of it. The nation is built on Christian morales and we feel like we are being forced into a corner. We still like to tell people that Christ died for them. :)

You can't be serious.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
