What kind of World Cup team is that? If they win it will be a win for Africa, not France.

Only Barthez (the goalie), and two defenders were real Frenchmen. It's not that I don't like and respect the non-Europeans on the team - they're fine players and nice guys, and Zizi Zidane is the best player-skipper in the business, but they're no more French than I am (I'm white and speak better French than they do).
Any decent European, who cares about the continent, its history, its culture and its future, will be rooting for Germany - the only real European team left in the tournament, tho Germans of today are a miserable bunch of creeps.

I'll answer since I'm French. I will admit that some French people, a small minority may have xenophobic attitudes. But I am willing to bet that Le Pen himself probably has no problems with the religion of the French players. And I am absolutely sure that it's probably such an insignificant amount of people that it bothers, that they are not worth a mention. And what exactly prompted you to ask such a xenophobic question? Ouch! There are people of different races in countries all over the world - some who have been there for many generations. Either way, they have every right to proudly represent their country. Sports are competitive and if it appears that there is racial disparity then maybe one should consider who outplayed or outperformed who to make the team - and nothing more.

Uh, correction please. Those "African" players are french, duh! Otherwise, they wouldn't be allowed to play. You are so out of touch. They were either born in France or Naturalized citizens of France. I think there's nothing more accepting than the French team who have allowed their black french citizens to represent their country in the World Cup. Vive le France!
