I dyed it deep brugundy brown by Garnier, not the Fructis section. My normal hair color is dark brown and the dye was supposed to make it brown interlaced with red, but it really only dyed my roots well.

i used to have really dark brown hair but then i dyed it a burgundy kinda of brown it showed in only the roots because i think the roots always get lighter i learned this by experience but u should try to put a lot on the bottom hair as well not only on the roots becuase when dye my hair i usually worry about the top and i want the top to get a lot of dye but u should really apply it evenly, if you still want lighter hair lyk the burgundy color you should get maybe a lighter shade because if you dye it again the same exact color it really isnt going to make a difference and if you want you should choose a red shade not too red but a nice one because dark brown hair is usually associated with the red family if you want to dye it lighter like a blonde or something you should definatly go to the salon i hope this helpss you byee

i would say just go to a professional i have red hair and my friend talked me into dying it blond the first time nothing happened so we tried a second time after the third time we gave up because i burned my scalp so incredibly bad it looked sick because it was peeling i had to buy really expensive shampoo from a professional although luckily for me red hair is hard to dye if it wouldn't have been the professional told me i probably would have gotten pink hair because of the color of dye i was using.

Take is from experience... go get it done right at a salon. It will look right and you won't be throwing away your money. Good luck.
