can cats see or warn off spirits?

I don't think so. Look into Egyptian mythology and see what the allure was to them. I don't even think that the Egyptians thought that.

In ancient Egypt cats were the keepers of the underworld, or at least appeared in underworld symbols. Are you referring to the movie with mummies starring Rachel Weisz? The main mummies is afraid of cats in the movie, a reference to the connection between cats and the underworld.
However, cats do see rather oddly, compared to dogs or humans. Cats almost have a kind of 3 D effect similar to going to a 3 D movie and donning the old 3 D glasses. Cats are experts at picking up the most subtle motion, and their eyes are designed that way. Have you ever noticed that some dog species can see images on TV? Cats cannot as their eyes are too fast for the images on TV. This may appear to affect the cats personality as their eyes are wired differently, and some strange behavior may result from this.

No. and if this was true, wouldn't everyone have a cat? Cats don't do crap in the spirit world. Why should they, their animals.If your concerned about spirits, then your getting involved in stuff you shouldnt be dealing with. Yes, the spirit world is real. And THE ONLY way out is through Jesus. I don't sound like am preaching to you, but find some christian web sites.

I don't know for sure but I personally believe that they can sense evil - in living people or in spirits. I also had a dog that warned us away from an area in our old house - turns out a little girl died there years before we moved in. If my animals are uneasy then I have to assume that something is up.

If u look into Egyptian mythology which is where cats first became worshiped u will c that cats were not held sacred because of some spiritual tie to the underworld but because cats(lions actually) killed serpents..so they believed that their son God(Ra) that sank into the underworld at sunset & rose at sunrise was safe assuming the identity of a cat(lion) while he was in the underworld at night. That is where the entire cats are supernatural craze began..Look into it. It is really interesting.

I think animals are more spiritually discerning than we think. I think they can see spirits at times, but I don't think they hold any authority to ward them off. As a Christian, I believe it's Jesus alone and those (humans) who are associated with Him and act on His behalf who possess the authority to command spirits to leave.

There are plenty of stories of animals (usually dogs) sensing spiritual things. Even in the Bible, there's the story of Balaam's donkey seeing "the Angel of the Lord" when Balaam didn't even see it. You can read the account for yourself here:

Like I said, though, I don't believe animals have any authority to command or "scare off" any spirits. Not even all people can do that. In fact, to attempt to without the proper authority is dangerous. There's this story in the New Testament about these Jewish exorsists who heard about Jesus' followers (Jesus was back in heaven by now) casting out demons using Jesus' name. So, they thought, "Hey, let's try that!" thinking it would work like a magic formula. Instead the demons in the man they tried this on said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know... but who are you?" i think they sense when something is present. not just cats, but most animals. i dont think they can warn them off though. too bad, cuz i have 2.
only a person who believes in christ, can demand them to leave you alone. just pray to christ to send them away.
