8 buns can be arranged 4 on top of 4. 10 buns isnt that convenient to pack, meaning excess packaging material.

if ur serving 4 or 5 people they allow 2 per person they have family packs of more than that like 5 pounds but to package just 2 or 4 is not cost package effective. or if u ate 2 per day then a pack per week opened in fridge is safe enuf.. to last..you cna buy how many you want in butchers meat market or by the links on a string or pound weight..

It's a conspiracy!!! They do it purely so that you will ask that question. People begin to question the logic of their number system and how nothing seems to correspond, and then no one bothers to look at other important things, such as the ingredients of hot dogs. If not for the mis-matched package amounts, people would know the horrifying truth of the ingredients of those delicious summer treats.

lol because it is a conspiracy with the bread makers and the hot dog makers to get you to buy more..
just like the cheaper clothes in the store are now dry clean only that is also a conspiracy between the dry cleaners and clothes manufacturers ...
just kidding around..save the extra two hot dogs and chop them into nickle slices and mix in macaroni and cheese for a second meal.. kids love it.
