espn is only boring if you aren't into it, i'm sure there are times he feels your pick things over him, try sitting in with him, hey if espn is your battle then maybe your need to get some sports shirts and catch his interest by wearing only the shirt

That's a good question. I've never been able to understand the obsession some men have with sports. When you have a beautiful woman sitting next to you...who gives a s__t about the tv.
