Seriously I understand all angles of the illegal immigrant issue. But shouldn't we Americans be more critical of our government who has let this go on for so long?

Well, this has been going on for decades and we managed to get so nervous over it now. This is why the government came to mind.

the gov allows this to happen because it benefits from it.
It has always made profits from exploiting peoples.
If not directly then through corporations that use sweatshops
in other countries. it always supports tyrants in central and south America they help them come to power and oppress the working people. the apologist for invasions in the u.s are to asinine to do some real research and find the root of the problem. America was built on exploitation , slavery , theft , fraud , genocide , oppression , etc..........
all immigrant Americans and their descendants need to learn this especially Europeans of 1, 2 ,3 , 4 and 5 generation
Let me just add that no indigenous ( red and brown ) people of any part of these continents is illegal to any part of these lands

If we enacted a simple law the whole issue would die. All we have to do is make employers that have illegals working for them pay double what the scale wage is for the time they worked there (and ask the worker how long they have been there), pay 2 years severence pay and a first class ticket back to where they came from. This would force the people to quit hiring illegal aliens. I cant blame people for coming here and working, but I do blame employers that pay substandard wages and pocket the difference. I know very well that this is not making services or products cheaper for us to buy, it is just a way for people to use someone to make more money.

Yes, they deserve a great amount of blame, going back 20 years. Laws were never enforced, and now we have an out of control problem. But there's a lot more to it. The Mexican government also has to shoulder a large part of the blame due to their continued corruption and encouraging people to cross into this country. The employers that capitalize on cheap labor also need to be held accountable. The dung is deep, ain't it?

if i really understand all angles of the issue then why would i focus mostly on gov? Why does gov have to solve/be responsible for all/everything? US is a gov of the people. the gov is us, you and me. Real solutions come from people... have an idea to fix the problem? Let's hear. Got nothing? Got something? Do you know what it feels like to be in charge? Everyone pointing at you, blaming you, demanding solutions?

What would you say/do if you were in that hot spot....? See? It's tough. And this pointing fingers doesn't get the solution anywhere it needs to be...

IMO...thanks -- good question...

Yes I do blame our government, but i also blame the illegals. They knew what they were doing when they crossed over. Now they demand and demand when they have no right. If they truly wanted to be American citizens then why not leave and do it the honorable way? I will tell you why, most of them don't want to be Americans they just want to take over, and pull the race card when we don't agree to just let them.

The problem, our government has let this migration go on for too long. If this issue is allowed to continue, I believe our American life will be changed forever due to overpopulation and a loss of freedoms that we take for-granted, but many true Americans lost their lives to preserve.

No, we should address all issues,

We have to fix the problem that is letting it go on.

We have to close the border

We have to fine and/or arrest those hiring illegals

And we have to deal with the illegals

next they are illegal aliens, not immigrants, an immigrant is someone here legally.

Absolutely.

I feel the illegal immigrants are responsible for their actions because they knew they were breaking the law, and they are the ones who benefit from the services we fund once they come illegally.

However, it is the government that makes me feel betrayed. My ANGER isn't at the illegal immigrants. (Well, barring a few on these pages...)

I say we go after everyone with our votes, our laws being enforcement only, businesses, no documents in any aother language, no amnesty, make it a felony for illegal entry and clean up the whole damn mess the right way!!!

I also believe people who become naturalized should lose their citizenship and be deported for reasons beyond what is law right now!!

Friar Chuck, you speak the truth!

And for those who don't know, we already tried to work it out with Mexico, they turned around and printed manuals for their people on how to get here illegally and end run our constitution, lied to us and is making relations with them much worse!!

In a broader sense it's a sign of another problem. Maybe if we worked together with Mexico to improve their health/economy we might get less illegal immigrants in the first place.
