It don't exactly mean that their stomach is upset. Some dogs just like to eat grass. That is a sign of upset but it isn't always the case. sometimes the grass is just there and they are curious.

Sometimes it can be for the sake of just eating grass...other times it can be due to upset stomach....or that they're simply lacking something in their daily diet
But of course the only type of grass you ougth to watch out for is the one that is fertilize or treated with chemicals. If they're anywhere near a newly treated lawn, they will throw up. Best to steer them away when you take them out for walks. That's not hard to avoid as the fertilizer looks like little white/yellow beads.

It's a good question. For as long as I can remember I've heard folks say they do it to calm an aching belly, but I've also heard a few folks say they may eat grass or greenery because they are lacking in certain nutrients. That makes just as much sense to me.

I see my own dog do it a lot and he's very healthy. I think he just might like the taste of grass. Maybe there's no one answer.

TOTALLY HAVE THE ANSWER! Lol, sorry. I JUST got home from the vet, because my bow wow is sick. He's eating grass and throwing up flem afterwards. ANY TIME a dog is eating grass, it means they're stomach is upset. IF they start to throw up, take them in! My dog had a gastritus/intestinal infection. He had to be on anti-biotics and a medicine to keep him from throwing up. Also, I asked my vet this, if you want to know if he has a temp, take the back of your hand, and put it on his belly, if it feels hot or fever like, he has a fever. Good luck. Hope he feels better. Contact me if you have any other questions, i'd love to help.

that's regular for canines to consume grass whilst they do no longer experience reliable. as quickly as they consume grass it will lead them to throw up and that could desire to lead them to experience greater proper overall. in the experience that your canines consistently eats grass then perhaps her foodstuff would not sit down nicely together with her and you need to think of roughly changing her eating recurring to mushy abdomen canines foodstuff which ought to help. Like I mentioned that's regular for them to consume grass yet in basic terms each and every so often. It should not be on a time-honored foundation. If changing her foodstuff to a mushy abdomen canines foodstuff would not help then i could take her to the vet to be certain no rely if that's something greater severe. i'm hoping this helps and powerful luck!
