We have our 4 month old pup in training class right now. They are teaching us to take her to the same spot outside every time. When she does her thing, to praise her. But if she makes a mistake in the house, and you catch her in the act, to say "NO" loudly or startle her. That will get her attention and let her know that it is a bad thing. If you find a spot on your floor after the fact, your dog is not going to remember doing it (they have a 10 sec. attention span), so just clean it up and watch her more closely. Also, keeping your dog close to you, even leashed to you could also help. She is less likely to use the potty in front of you. I hope these tips help. Good luck.

First get the smell out I have used ammonia diluted with water that kills the smell. Dogs are territorial they mark what they own with there urine. Second try positive rewards when she goes outside like treats. Potty training is one of the toughest things to teach a dog but many wet and muddy socks from now you'll have forgotten all the frustration and your pup will be a joy to have in your life.

try kennel training the dog. Get a kennel that it only has enough room to turn around in. Don't put any food or water in there. Don't put it in there for punishment. when you take the dog outside to use the restroom. if it won't go get a warm washcloth wipe it's little area's (which acts as the mother licking) it should want to use the bathroom then. I would try to take it out every 1 to two hours. after it wakes up even after a nap and every time after it eats. till it gets use to the fact that it has to go outside. don't rub it's nose in it, that can cause them to eventually eat their stool. just if you catch them in the act scold the **** out of them. I whipped my dog. good luck

My sister has three dogs and she crate trained all of them. Buy a crate or a traveling carrier, put them in the crate between going outside, eating, and to go to sleep. Let them out only after you have taken them outside to use the bathroom. They will cry in the beginning but in the end they wont need to be kept in there and wont use the bathroom in the house. Good luck

first off, don't clean the up with ammonia, it smells like urine, second stay outside with the puppy till she goes and tell her good dog. Puppies aren't born knowing how to potty outside....they learn. Good advice to get a puppy training book for ideas. We started taking our dogs out after a nap, after eating and drinking and after play.Just keep doing these thaing over and over, puppies/dogs learn by repetion

Put her on a leash and walk her around the boundary of your house, until she does her business. Do this for a month or so, a few times a day. Eventually she will understand to go to the edge of your property and do her business. Hope this helps!

Show her the spot and give her a gruff growly No! then put her outside right away.
You need to do this right away when it happens or it will be useless, and you have to show her the spot so she knows why she is being scolded.
You also need to praise her when she dose good.
