Anything which contains hydroginated or partially hydroginated oil of any kind (read all labels, it's in everything from baked foods to chicken broth), all meat, and all white flour. I also stick with mostly organic foods. I try to stay away from sugar, but that's a tough one.... I've lost over 30 lbs. since January on this diet, and still eat lots of great stuff including chocolate and skittles!

Eliminate:
1. all processed sugars, syrups, artificial sweeteners (yes, people who use artificial sweetners, particularly drinking *diet* drinks, often gain more! weight) and the things made with them. "Organic" sugar is very little improvement. This is the most important point, as these are drugs and have enormous effects on the body.
~Use natural sweeteners: honey, xylitol, malt, pure maple syrup, natural cane syrup, molasses, turbinado sugar, in moderation, or stevia.
2. "Grocerystore", i.e. non-organic, meat, dairy, and egg products. Conventional meat, dairy, and eggs too often contain vaccines, antibiotics, hormones, steroids, and other chemicals/additives. Yikes!
~Find a health food store, a farm, or a *good* grocer who carries organic foods.
3. all highly processed/denatured foods, such as white flour (and things like regular noodles, bread, crackers, etc. that are made with them), degerminated corn meal, hydrogenated fats, peeled potatoes, soft drinks/koolaid
~Buy/make whole-grain foods. that were designed as the fuel for our bodies. We make/eat all sorts of foods this way, and home made is best; just adjust your favorite recipes, using natural, whole ingredients...pies, cakes, muffins, cookies, noodles, pizza, biscuits, etc. Eat when you are *hungry,* in moderation.
+add fresh fruit and LOTS of veggies
+organic soy is very good (but don't buy *soy* products that nix the above)
+be sure to drink good water, instead of city water that has lots of drugs and chemicals in it.
+add flax oil to your diet (pour a little on your food or take a spoonful 2-4 times a day
Remember: Real food/whole food was designed as the fuel for our bodies.
Tip: Often, when you crave sweet, salty, or oily foods, it is a nutrient deficiency. Think about what people ate a thousand years ago when they craved these things. Eat more fruit, nuts, veggies and other good, whole foods. You may need some good supplements.
:-)

Well, I gave up soda, cake and most breads. Lost 100 lbs that way....And that means even diet soda. You can't have any. Give up all soda and stuff like kool aid and you will lose almost 10 lbs in a month. Just about guarentee you that.
