It depends on whether you are deficient or have too much.
Think of thyroid hormone as your metabolism hormone
Too little - aka Hypothyroidism = slowed, gain weight, constipated, tired, intolerant to cold, dry skin
Too much - aka Hyperthyroidism = loose weight, diarrhea, tremor, dry hair, anxious, intolerant to heat.
There are other symptoms but this should give you the idea.
