when i first read your question....i thought of Moe, from the Three Stooges...getting poked in the eyes...that would be Moe painful...but if i was paying attention in my Bio class last semester, and i remember correctly...the pain receptors are the same...it registers the same etc....your brain doesn't think hot or cold...it's just Pain.....but i think extremely hot water would do greater damage..burns, scarring...ice cold could cause hypothermia....i don't know...i don't either would be to much fun.

Definitely hot water, because it would burn your skin making it ultra sensitive to hot water which is too damn bad 'cause you're still in hot water. Ice cold water would eventually cause death, but you get warm just before you die and fall asleep.
