He was a brown, black, grey and white puppy, He was a mutt, with the breeding of a miniture shnouser, (Mother) and a rottw/ black lab. He was sooo cute, and like my own child. He was a house dog, that was occasionally put outside to go potty. He heard a loud truck comming down the road and insisted on 'chasing it off' when he got hit. The truck slid approx. 65 ft. trying to miss him, but was going too fast and couldn't stop. He was just a baby! Why did it have to happed to him... and my family?

Losing a pet is never easy on the heart, and I'm sure you can look back at things you could have done differently to have avoided this loss. But it doesn't change the fact that Biscuit is gone. For many people, the loss of a pet is just as devastating as the loss of a family member. You take the time to grieve- no matter how long that time may be & as each day goes by you learn to deal with the pain like a wound that heals, but leaves a scar to constantly remind you of the moment that "it" happened. Sometimes a new pet can help heal the loss from the one that is no longer with you. It is because you still have the love to give to the pet that is gone, so you shower it on the new pet that comes into your life.

Awe I am so sorry for your lose. The hardest thing about loving a dog or any pet as if it was a child is knowing that u are going to out live them someday! I fear the day that I loose my Maggie even though to most people she is just a dog I am a firm believer that they all have a spirit and a soul just as we do. And to my husband and I she is our daughter. All I can say is time heals all wounds and if you pour 1/2 as much love into another puppy Biscut will be smiling down on you. Life goes on and u can recover. Another furry friend might just be the trick go adopt a homeless puppy from a shelter and do in memory of your lost one. Hang in there!!

Its really hard to loose an animal in your family. They really are just like family members. I mean i found out my hamster died this morning because of a tumor and my moms turtle died a few weeks ago and we don't even no what killed him. You just got to try to think that he is a better place now, even though it doesn't help. The way I'm trying to cope with my hamster dying is thinking how sweet she was and how much i loved and cared for her and maybe when your ready you could get yourself a new puppy. I hope you and your family feel better soon and just remember he always will be with you.

It's impossible to replace a family member, but getting a new puppy will most likely be the best way to move on with your life. Try going to your local SPCA. There are plenty of dogs there that would be happy to have a new family. =)

It is so sad to lose a pet especially due to an accident. It's important to allow yourself to grieve the loss and celebrate the memories you shared with Biscuit (cute name, btw). Once you have processed this, you may find happiness in another pet, but it's not necessary and it's not possible to replace one pet with another. Pets, like people, are not interchangeable. All the best to you.

The only thing i can say is don't let youself get that attached to pets or you're gonna be heart broken again. You'll have several other dogs die in your life time so see them as such instead of family or otherwise deal with the pain.

I am so sorry for your loss. Time will ease your pain and heal your heart but you will always miss him. When you are feeling better, get another dog. It will help your heart to mend. Please walk your dog on a leash tho so that this does not happen again.

sorry about your dog. ok first dont get another one right away because when you just lose a animal and u just go get another one you are trying to replace what was there and by getting another dog when u are not emotionaly stable and that will be bad for you and your new dog.
