Cayden seems to be a popular yet non-traditional name for both boys and girls. I thought a few years ago that I had made the name up only to discover several kids with that name. I'm also partial to the names of the characters in the Lord of the Rings books like Arwen and Eowyn (A-oh-when). Hope that helps a little.

I think old fashioned names are now considered unique names. Another thing, yell the name down the stairs or off the porch a couple times to see how it would sound when you are calling them in for lunch or upstairs for a punishment. Yell the middle name too, you don't want a name that sounds funny all together. Also, think like a six year old. What funny words can you make out of the name. You don't want to set your child up to be teased. Kids will be kids and sometimes it really hurts a kid when they are made fun of like that.

My husband wants to name our first baby girl Emerald, and call her Emmy for short. I think that one's pretty non-traditional. :) The middle name that would go with it is Noelle.
Our boy names are pretty traditional, but if I think of any good ones, I'll edit and let you know.
