It's possible, but you BOTH have to be willing to work at it. I noticed you mentioned you going to see him, but not him coming to see you. Maybe it was just an oversight, but like I said, it has to be a joint effort. I dated a guy for a year and a half, and then he moved 6 hours away, we took turns visiting each other, I would go one weekend, and he would come here the next, and so on.We dated for another year after he moved, we did end up breaking up, but it had nothing to do with the distance, we just chose different paths in our lives. Good Luck though, I hope it works for you..... young love is a beautiful thing as long as you don't rush it, and as a mom of 3 girls I totally respect your parents, and you will thank them one day for their guidance, it may not seem so, but oh trust me, somehow those lessons they try to teach you come back and haunt you when you grow up.

An hour away is not really long distance I guess, but eventually you will want to live together right? So it's eather you move to where your boyfriend lives or the other way around. Both of you can also choose to move to a new place/city.

Well without really reliable transportation it could get tough. However i'm in a long distance relationship and we've been together for well over 17 months. Also it depends on how old you are. If your close to being able to drive then it'll work out because you can drive to see him anytime. Once you get your car it'll be ALOT easier.

Yes they do work, but they take time and dedication. Patience is also a key factor. An hour away from eachother really isn't much of long distance. You're young though...so if it doesn't...chances are it wasnt meant to be.

First of all how old are you? If you hav to depend on your parents to take you to see him, then you are still young enough to move on to the next one. 9 times out of 10, long distance relationships don't work.

Long distance relationships SUCK. And guys cheat. It's a fact and he'll end up getting bored and cheating if you're not around. If you really like him, make an effort to make it work. But it's impractical if you don't have a car.

For me it did.I met my fiancee on an Mtv chatroom and I was in Indiana while she was in New Hampshire. We talked and I feel in love with her instantly.Call it being in love just for being in love. But we talked and a year later she moved in with me.And now here we both are 4 years later going to get married.Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't for me it did.

yeah sometimes they do, i went out with a girl 3 hours away it was great we both had our own freedom. and then it was really good to see each other when we did because it wasn't often which made it much better.

Well, if he's only an hour away...it should be ok then...

Just wait until he gets a driver's license so that you don't have to worry about your parents and who ever else...
