I own a timeshare and am a big advocate of them, although they are not for everyone. I purchased my timeshare in Myrtle Beach SC on the resale market, sight unseen, and use it exclusively for its trading power to other timeshare resorts worldwide.

It had been one of the most economical travel purchases I've ever done. As an example, we've exchanged it for a lovely resort in Maui Hawaii and leave next month :<)
