I was listening to a christian radio station, and one of the hosts said he had a dream where God spoke to him and told him that in(he would not say the actual time so he used 25 months) 25 months distress will come upon this nation. He gave more detail about what happened in the dream but I can't remember everything. One of his co-wokers also had a dream very similar where God told her something to the same affect. Its kind of scary to think about it. I don't want to live my life wondering when it (the rapture) will come becasue I know I'm going to Heaven, and the last thing I'm afraid of is to be w/God, but I've been wondering whether his dream was real and if so how much longer do we really have on the earth?

Before I say this let me tell you that I am a devout Christian. The rapture is a creation of man and does not exist. It evolved from interpretation of the Revelation. Not gonna happen. Ever.

first of all, the word rapture is a made up word. it is nowhere to be found in the bible.
second of all, god does not need, nor never has needed to remove people from the earth to protect them from the destruction of the wicked.
god established a pattern regarding the wicked:
2Peter 2:5 and he did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people; 6 and by reducing the cities Sod´om and Go·mor´rah to ashes he condemned them, setting a pattern for ungodly persons of things to come.
So the rapture is a false teaching.
Also consider this, is the Bible message lacking anything so as to require God to reveal a new message to someone promoting a false teaching?
Revelation22:18 “I am bearing witness to everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; 19 and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things which are written about in this scroll.
So if anyone is claiming to have received additional information in the form of a dream, is it not more likely this is a test to see if any will be tempted to leave the written word?, and follow a person who's ego has allowed them to be deceived?
Steer clear of those claiming to have visions and dreams, stick tightly to what is written. This what Jesus did. Many times he said "It is written", and "man must live not on bread alone but on every word coming out of the mouth of God".
Do any of you really want to risk your eternal life to follow the dreams of a man?
Think about the warning in Revelation.
Safegaurd your souls.
People! THE RAPTURE IS A LIE!

First of all, I used to be a Christian. I'm not anymore. I used to believe in it but now.. no.

People have been guessing and predicting for YEARS when the rapture was coming. It was supposed to come soooo many different times but it never did.

I'm not saying the world won't end someday.. there's a very real possibility we can all do ourselves in with war, not taking care of the earth, a meteor hitting the planet, etc. But I don't believe in the rapture. I was a Christian the first 18 years of my life and studied world religions for 10 years before finally becoming an Agnostic.

Trust me, I'm much happier now and live without fear. I do believe in a higher power/God but not Christianity.

There is no rapture. What is meant by the term in modern times is a lie and it comes out of the works of a 19th century American named John Darby (look him up and you will find that he was into occult practices). The doctrine of a secret rapture was first conceived by John Darby of the Plymouth Brethren in 1827 It has nothing to do with how Paul and his followers understood what he wrote. Even a loose understanding of "rapture" is virtually unheard of in the writings of the Church Fathers.

If the tribulation comes during our life times, the idea of the rapture is going to have many Christians turn away and apostatize. Christians will suffer greatly before the end, and if you think you are going to get raptured, but end up suffering, you will assume that Christianity is wrong.

the book "The Rapture Trap" among many many others.

Well, I don' believe the Rapture is ever coming. There isn't any Scriptural reason to do so. Jesus' "second coming" was described as coming soon and imminent. Since I believe in inerrancy, I feel that Jesus' "second coming" was the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem. The seven year Tribulation was the Jewish War against the Roman government from 63 AD to 70 AD, the destruction of the Temple. The Anti-Christ was Emperor Nero, and the seven headed beast represented Rome, which is built on seven hills.

First, I don't believe the "rapture" theory is biblical (the word is not even in the Bible), or correct, but of the time that Jesus will come, the bible is clear. "Of that day and hour, no man knoweth" (Matt 24:36) No one knows when Christ will return!

Secondly, how did these people know it was God speaking to them in these dreams? What does God sound like? The bible says that Satan disguises himself as an "angel of light" (2 Cor 11:14), so how do they know it wasn't Satan? (Especially since what their dream told them is just the oposite of what Jesus said!)

The only sure way to know what is true is to search the scriptures (See Acts 17:11).

In the mean time, I think I would find a beter radio show to listen to!

listen to 'thinkIknow' and 'mainworry'. we all 3 study with a bible scholar in the original languages. our pastor reads the original manuscripts.

go to my 360 page and click on the blast, a phone number and url are there. you can start out by getting a totally free 'mark of the beast' cd/tape. time is running short. daniel's vision of 2300 days figures the dates are hitting all around THIS TIME, RIGHT NOW!

GOD wants you in that field working and planting seeds, not flying off somewhere! JESUS is coming back here, so why would we go away?

All dreams must be documented in GOD'S word or it is just a 'sweet pickle dream'. there are scads of prophets in the bible, so why would you need anybody else's!

my guess is that you do not know how to understand the prophets so you are looking for someone to help you out. LOOK NO MORE!

no there is no rapture there is only a jugment day and on that jugment day everybodys body will be remaide and allah will make their cells alive and come together and stuff and he will make the people alive and who ever belived in the life b4 they will be taken up to heaven. judment day is very very soon. did u know we are the last genoration i hate being in this genoration, i wish me and my family were born a long long time ago when jesus was prophet.
jesus is not dead and he will come back to earth one day and:

1. Isa will descend and stay on earth.

2. His descension will be in the last era of Ummat.

3. He will be a just ruler and a fair judge.

4. His ummat will be the Khalifa (deputies) of Rasullah (Mohammed).

5. He will act himself and instruct others on the quran.

Could this be the change in time and laws?

6. He will lead people in Salaat (prayer ritual).

One world religion?

7. He will stay on earth for a period of 40 years after descending. They will be the best era of the Ummat after the first era of Islam.

Could this be ushering in of the peace the AC is supposed to confirm? I know they believe in 40 years, but could it all start with a 7 year peace accord?

8. Allah will protect his companions from Jahannam (one of 7 layers of Islamic hell).

9. Those who will save the Deen (religion) of Islam by associating themselves with Jesus will be the most loved by Allah.

10. During this period, all other religions and mazhabs besides Islam will perish, hence no more kafirs (unbelievers) in the world.

Promise of peace in the world, one world religion

11. Jihad will be stopped.

12. No Khiraaj (land tax) will be taken.

13. Nor Jizya (protection tax) money will be taken from the unbelievers.

14.Wealth and property will be in surplus to such an extent that there will be no one to accept the wealth of others.

15. Receiving Zakaat (almsgiving) and Saadaqa (voluntary giving) will be discarded (as there will be no poor to receive it).

16. The people will love the sajda (kneeling before Allah) more than the world and what it consists of.

17. All types of Deen and worldly blessings will descend on earth (many halal [lawful] things will be created)

18. There will be peace harmony and tranquility.

19. There will be no animosity for seven years, even between 2 persons.

Seven years!

20. All hearts will be free from miserliness, envy, hatred, malice and jealousy.

21. For a period of 40 years no one will fall ill or die.

22. Venom will be taken out of all venomous animals.

23. Snakes and scorpions will not harm anyone to the extent that if puts his hand in its mouth he will not be harmed.

Interesting that scorpions are mentioned here as well as the tribulation.

24. Wild animals will not harm anyone.

25. If a man will pass a lion, he will not be troubled or harmed or even if any girl will open its mouth to test if it will do anything.

26. The camels will graze among lions, cheetahs with cattle, and the jackals with goats.

27. The fertility of the land will increase to such an extent that even if a seed is planted in hard rock, it will sprout.

28. A pomegranate will be so huge that a nation will be able to eat it and the people will use its peel for a shade.

29. There will be so much barakaat (blessing) in milk that a camel will suffice for a huge nation, a cow for a tribe and a goat for a family.

30. In short, life will be most pleasant after the descension of Isa.

Although the authors see some parallels to life in the millennium kingdom, I can also see this as some of the promises the AC could make to people as he sets up his little reign, promises he won’t be able to keep.

I'd love to see what you all think about this possibility.

Soon after the death of 'Isa(a.s.), the signs of Day of the Judgement will begin to manifest. Thirty years after the clan of Banu Tamim, which had helped 'Isa(a.s.), has died off and, after the death of scholars, the knowledge of Qur'an will be taken away from this world. Mirza and his successors have all died for a long time and such a thing has not occurred.

After reviewing these fundamental and irrefutable differences, allow us to revisit the original question. Even if someone were to incorrectly believe that the second coming of 'Isa(a.s.) alludes to the birth of an 'Isa-lookalike, still Mirza Ghulam can not be given the benefit of a doubt to be that lookalike. Indeed, Mirza does not even come remotely close to the prophecies regarding the return of 'Isa(a.s.).

May Allah show the right path to all those who seek it, and give the wealth of His love and the love of Rasullulah, Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w.), like he has given me. Allahumma Rabbana Aameen.

There is no rapture, the tribulation to come is to be experienced by all, it is good to be right with God so you don't be decieved by Anti-christ when he takes his place as ruler of the world, but as for a rapture, that isn't going to happen, we all need to be here to help those who are being decieved. It will be scary yes, but during those times we will be ok because God is watching over us, the bad things to come are more of a last second reach out to grab those who don't believe in him
