Jehovah witnesses do not believe that Jesus is the son of God. They chose to distort the bible to engulf their own beliefs. The bible is not a buffet, you have to accept it in its entirety. If you call parts of it a lie, then you are calling God a liar. God is a God of truth, love and forgiveness.

A "Born again Christian" is a person who believes in the fundamental Christian principals, i.e.; that Jesus is both human and divine and that He is in fact the Son of God. Their most known attribute is that they "accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior" they believe that once a person accepts this, they are "saved", thus being "Born Again", not of the flesh, but of the spirit.
A Jehovah's Witness by contrast, does *not* believe in the basic Christian principal (that Jesus Christ is human and equally divine). Also, they do not believe that He died on an actual T-shaped cross or that heaven consists of more than the 144,000 people spoken of in the book of Revelation. They believe instead that the Kingdom of God will come down to earth and that this Kingdom will have a 1000 year reign on earth. Another big difference is the fact that they have taken out and changed various words in the bibles they use such as the word "church", also in many cases instead of the word "Lord" ( which would be more properly translated as "Adoni") they use the term "Jehovah", etc.
In essence, a "Born Again Christian" believes in Christ as God and a Jehovah's Witness does not.

First of all and most importantly the born again Christian believes that The Father and The Son and Holy Spirit are one.... Jesus is God...... The Jehovah Witness believe that He is not...
Secondly, their bible is worded differently than the born again Christian bible...
Hope that helps... Oh, did you know that the Born again belief is that if you receive Jesus and repent and receive His forgiveness and then die right there, you would have eternal life. The Jehovah Witnesses believe that you have to be baptized into their religion in order to have eternal life....If you did not do that you missed out on heaven....

Well I don't know much about Jehovah Witness denomination, but I am familiar with Christianity.
You might wonder what does the term born again christian mean. Born again christian is someone who has accepted Jesus into their heart. They have understood that man is sinful (original sin garden of Eden). That Jesus was sent to this earth as the sacrificial lamb, the messiah. His heart was pure and he was crucified on the cross for the salvation of man. If someone accepts that Jesus died on the cross for their sins that they will be given eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. You might recall the John the Baptist, baptized Jesus in the river Jordan. This baptism is a symbolism of the flesh to the world that you are being born all over. You go into the grave as the old man and out of the ground as a new person without sin because you have accepted Jesus death and Resurrection. Thus being born again. I hope this helps. If you have any more questions about being born again feel free to email me nikedupuis@yahoo.com.

A true Christian believes Jesus is God.
Jehovahs Witnesses believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael.
There are plenty of other differences resulting from the changes that the Jehovah Witnesses have made to the Bible to suit their arguments.

I'll take this one....A Born-Again Christian is a Christian that has asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. Jehovahs don't do that. Born-Again Christians respect this country, honor the flag, and say the pledge. Jehovahs do none of that.

Well, the born agains are raised up from a life that was unhealthy, determental and non supporting of spirit growth. They are cleansed from the spiritual burdens of these lifestyles, and they are formed into new beings that further spirit, thier learning, their spiritual knowledge, and give this information to those who are willing to accept it.
The witnesses are those that believe or were raised to believe that the Heavenly Father's name was Jehovah, and that this is where blessings come from. Well, going back to ancient texts such as the Tetragrammaton which precedes all of them indicates that the name of The Heavenly Father is Yhwh. His name got filtered down through translations such as the Septuagint (A greek text given to Jewish scholars) and those that branched off from the original form, in fear that His name refered to as Most High would be used "in vain". His will is pointed to through various quotes in the Bible that everyone know His real name. Pray to Him and you will see changes. Don't curse His name, don't give it to someone else with malice or egotism, but worship Him in spirit and truth, and you will be blessed. Do your research on the internet. Contact these devotees if you have questions or need spiritual guidance. http://www.byregion.net/profiles/episkopos.html

As far as I can tell a born again Christian is a person who can rationalize killing people in war despite Jesus' injuction to turn the other cheek, will tell you that they have only serve God while flying a government flag higher than the christian flag outside their church, oppose abortion but support the death penalty, believe they are going to heaven while everyone else burns in hell and tell you thats not pridefulness but humility speaking, believe marriage is sacred but divorces just as much as everyone else, never mention the fact that gluttony is condemned over 300 times in the Bible while they rail against homosexuality which is mentioned twice, condemn abortion but seldom raises a hand to take care of unwanted children that result, supports tax cuts for social services and higher allocations for the pentagon, tells you Christians in America ae oppressed while they control more media than any other similar group and reap complete tax exemption for every church related activity they engage in.
Jehovahs Witnesses do all the above except they have the guts to refuse to serve in the military because of their religious beliefs and not take an oath of allegiance to anything believing their only allegiance is to God.

I recommend you go to the following website for a critical examination of the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses from a Christian perspective. It includes full description of beliefs as well as specific Bible verses used in defense of JW or against JW.
http://www.carm.org/witnesses.htm
This is also a great website for many other religions.

Two significant differences relate to the Trinity and house-to-house preaching.
"Born-agains" are well-known for asking people if they have "been saved" or if they have "accepted Jesus as their person savior". Jehovah's Witnesses believe that this is a necessary step, but that a continuing lifestyle of obedience and good works are necessary for salvation.
Trinitarian "born-agains" too-often pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian. Some trinitarians use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God. Interestingly, pagans in the first century pretended that Christ's followers were Atheists(!) because the Christians had a somewhat different idea from the pagans about the nature of God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.
The Trinitarian arguments are intended to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to give a Scripturally accurate understanding of the term "Christian".
In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all the times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

Born again Christians....believe in the trinity. The father, son and the holy spirit. They believe Jesus is their Lord and savior. They believe that their sins will be forgiven. and all things are done threw Jesus Christ. And that God sent his son to die for our sins.
J-W, on the other hand, believe that Jesus is God's son, but that God has all the glory. That nothing is done threw Jesus and they do not believe in the holy spirit. They believe that Jehovah is God's name when if you read the Bible, God referes himself as "I AM" So there is no name for him. so that is some thing that the J-W did themselves. They do not celebrate holidays because if it was not mention in the Bible it was man made, therefore they can not celebrate.
