I recently noticed skin tag like things on my vaginal area and am wondering if this is an STD or can they appear from heat? Will they go away or do they need to be treated and if so how?

Have your gynecologist look at them. She might send you to a dermatologist. Skin tags, I don't believe, are caused by heat. As far as I know, they don't go away on their own. Normally, the have to be burned and cauterized.

if what you have is a skin tag, then it is most likely harmless. My son had one by his ear. I had it surgically removed for cosmetic reasons. It posed no threat. They won't go away and it is considered cosmetic

They can be treated by being cut off but they wont go away on their own
