They are very good for you - they used to be cucumbers. You have to watch the amounts you eat, because they are high in sodium (salt).

You get the vegetables with nearly all their nutrients preserved, so that's good. Vinegar is thought to be healthy and may aid in weight loss. And they're fat-free. But watch the portion sizes, as most pickles are high in salt and some also contain sugar.

I think there is no nutritional value to them except for the vinegar, and that is only if an apple cider vinegar is used. If there is any high fructose corn syrup in them throw em away, that stuff is bad bad bad.

Pickles are neither good nor bad... dill's consist of cucumber,vinegar and water and spices.....sweet is the same with either sugar or corn syrup.
calorie wise Dill pickles have far less.
