What do you feed her now? That information would really help people to assist you. We feed our 4 cats a combination of hard and soft food.. but we buy quality food and that makes a difference.

Low ash is important for cats... and don't feed your cat 'people food' as that can be bad for her as well, especially dairy products.

Check with your vet to see what a good quality store bought food is (say store bought because many vets carry very high-end foods that really aren't necessary unless your pet has been sick and requires it for a special reason).

You should also check to see if there's anything in your home that the cat can get to that might make her sickly. If your cat is an outdoor cat, I would suggest you get a litter box and keep her either as an indoor cat permanently or for a week or two until you figure out what the problem is. If she gets better and then you let her out again and she ends up with the runs again, then she's getting into something she shouldn't be getting into or, somebody is feeding her something they shouldn't. Also, I highly recommend that you contact your vet if the problem persists because the runs will cause dehydration and that causes other problems.

My cat, Unser, eats Pro Plan for his dry food and Fancy Feast for his soft food. Once in a while when he gets stressed, he will get diarrhea, in which case, per his vet, I give him 1/4 tablet of Imodium-AD. But, best thing to do is to talk to your vet about this. (Unser only has 1/2 can of soft food a day, the rest of the time he eats the dry food.)

If you're going to go with commercial food, go with like Purina One or one of the other higher end grocery store varieties. IAMS and Science Diet and the like are the better bets, though. You'll pay a little more, but you'll save in litter and quite possibly food in the long run, since they actually eat less of the denser foods.

First, I reccomend a trip to the vet. She could have worms.

Second, don't feed a kitten a food made for an adult cat. We raised our very healthy cat on Iams kitten food. Kitten food is especially formulated for kittens and contains the nutrion they need.

The cat food may not agree with her, keep trying different kinds and see what works. If that fails, you need to take her to the vet, something may be wrong.

Science Diet has really good food for all types of problems. Your vet or some high-end pet stores carry it.

You can try giving your cat hard catfood...I am thinking she or he eats canned food? If your cat has loose stool for along time you might need to see a vet.

it depends on what you are feeding her. if you are feeding her wet food, then i would stop. at least mix with it with dry food or switch to dry food completely. ive never heard of a dry food causing runny poop, but i suppose it could!

Give her dry food if you have been giving her moist food. It could also be from any meds she is on. If all else fails go see a vet
