Eating grass often occurs when the cat needs to clean out its stomach by vomiting (maybe to get rid of furballs!). If your cat does not have access to grass, house plants or anything similiar will be used by your cat. Vomiting will occur soon after the cat has eaten grass. It has been said that cats eat grass to obtain "Folic Acid", something that cats need in minute quantities for its well-being. "Folic Acid" cannot be obtained from meat.

It is okay if your cat eats grass. Cats eat grass because they like it and it helps them cough up hairballs. One of my cats just likes to eat it for the sake of eating grass. I'll bring some home and say "Who wants some grass?" and she'll come from wherever she was and start meowing and getting excited. It's a real treat.

Yes.. cats use grass to assist them with digestion. In fact, many pet stores and even garden centres will carry cat grass that you can plant at home and have on hand for your cat 365 days a year.
You shouldn't let them eat too much at one time because they will throw it up... but a few blades daily is fine. Consult a vet or animal care website for more information.

Yes it is normal. My cat use to do it when she was a outdoor cat (before we moved) It helps keep there food down and not throwing up. It is like us taking medicine when we are sick. Dogs and other dogs eat grass to for the same reason.

It is normal for cats to eat grass. They even sell pet grass at certain pet stores. You have to be careful though because some grass contain pesticide and fertilizers that can make your pet sick.

As far as I can remember, yes it is. This is a way for them to clean their system out. Sometimes they eat bugs, birds etc. and they need to get undigested stuff out of their stomach. No need to be alarmed, they eat the grass then they puke it out with the undigested stuff, the grass actually helps it to come up. So now you know you have nothing to worry about..Your kitty is fine!!

Sure, Why not? Some pet stores sell little containers of "cat grass." Same stuff you grow in your yard. Amazing what people buy!

As long as there is no insecticide on the grass it's fine. Most cats do it. I think they are trying to relieve themselves of hairballs since they can't digest grass.
