It really depends what you want to do.

The Marines are the most physical, tough and are sometimes the greatest effected by joining.

The Army is ground and usually fight with the Marines.

The Marines is also part of the Navy which go over seas, on various vessels for long periods of time. They tend to see more of the world. Usually, they sailors go out for six-nine months and then get to stay in the states for about the same amount of time until being deployed again.

The Coast Guard won't get involved in major warfare and are usually the ones busting drug rings around the south coast! And also the ones that handle the refugees from Cuba.

Do your own investigating (each branch has a website) and see what fits best for you. Or even go to your local recruitment center and pick up packets from each branch before making your decision.

And good luck!

The Coast Guard is the best but hardest to enlist in.
The Air Force is the best for life style and living conditions.

Army and Marines ...Killing and Hard life

US Navy almost as good as the Air Force but you are gone away from home and at sea more.
Don't Believe the recruiters. Check everything they tell you.

If you are looking for a change, the Marine Corps can give you that. I was a Marine machinegunner for 4 years. 2001-2005. Any personal experience I give you will scare you, unless you are all about being the toughest a33hole you can be. Its like sex with a hooker, you never know what your are going to get out of it until about 6 months after you go in.
by the way, you dont have to wait till your 20, age 18 is legal for hookers and the Marine Corps (just sorta with the first)

I would have to agree with some of the answer given to you. I was in the Army for ten years. The one good thing about the army is that you could get stationed over sea and if you like it enlist to stay . I got to live in Germany for seven out ten years in, explored all of Europe while there in my car. Upon getting out I was offered a government job working with the army as a civilian.
