If she's really your friend, she'll learn to accept your new b/f. If she doesn't, she's not really your friend. She should understand you have a right to date whomever you choose. As long as he isn't harassing your friend or giving you a hard time for being friends with her, then it should be fine. He shouldn't ever do that...just as she shouldn't give you hard time for dating him. Your true friends love you for who YOU are...not for your hair color, your car, where you live, your status among other friends, or your boyfriend. Talk to her. Tell her you know she doesn't like him that well, but the two of you went out, and it's a good thing. Ask her to be happy for you. Do it before you move. She deserves at least the truth from you since you are her friend.

Just wait a little while. Heaven forbid it would happen, but you and your boy may break up and then you would have hated to ruin your beft friendship over that. Then again your best friend may decide she has a new best friend in a few weeks and then there wasn't any reason to worry about her anyway. Either way time will tell what is best. Best wishes

My husbands best friend doesn't like me. He never has and probably never will. What you do is tell her that your dating him and if she is a true friend she will support you as long as your happy. If your not happy she can sense it...The only thing your stressing about now is how to tell her....Just tell her, it doesn't matter if your moving, she would like to know who you are dating and all the good gossip thats what girls do.

Just say, 'I know you don't think _____ is right for me, but we've really connected and I'm going to see where it goes. I really like him'. And then let her know that you value her opinion, but you have to make the final decision on stuff yourself.

You can do it. Just let her know noone will ever replace a girls close girlfriends. No matter how much you like him. lol

Good luck.

Just tell her that you know she doesn't like him and that he isn't her type, but that you like him and have been and are planning to continue dating him.If she is a true frien she will allow you to make mistakes and decisions that she may not agree with, and will be there if/when things fall apart, and never say "I told you so".

Well if the person is your best friend like you said they were she should accept how you feel if she is your true friend. Just tell her and she should understand. Tell her how happy you are with him.

Tell her if she is really your best friend she'll stand by your decision to date this guy, she might not like it, but what makes you happy should make her happy.
