would you ask out a person you have just met? (a date i mean)

or do you feel like you have to know the person for a while first? if so, how long?

or do you have to have a crush on the person first before you ask the person out?

It happens all the time. It depends on the people involved, whether they may or may not be interested in each other, not to mention available. A crush is not necessary. Sometimes people like to explore things together.

If you meet someone that you like, you should most certainly ask them out on a date ,otherwise how would you get to know them ?
They may or may not be the person you are looking for and how would you know if you don't ask them first. ?
They may be involved with someone else at the time, but then again, now that they have met you, they might just dump the other person.
Go for it !!

Why do you think you want to ask this person out? Are you old enough to make these decisions by yourself or do you need your parents permission? If you're confused about whether to ask someone out, you'd better be prepared to pay for the date... that's called manners. You also should be prepared to provide the transportation to and from wherever you go on your date. Is the attraction so strong that you can't wait to get to know this person at least a little better? The phone does wonders for this. The internet isn't enough... use the phone! If you can't get the person to give you his/her phone number, offer your's. That way you know for sure if the person is interested enough in you to get to know you, and then you'll know whether to ask him/her out.

Anything goes. No one sets the rules it is all up to you. If I really liked a person that I just met I would ask him on a date. Then I would be able to get to know him a little better.

The whole purpose of a date is to get to know someone. If you want to ask a person a date ask them out. However, don't go trying to rush into an instant romance. Just take your time, relax, be yourself and the rest will come naturally.

If you just met someone and seem to have a common interest with them or if your attracted to them I would ask them if they would like to go get a soda or something simple like that. And then take it from there.
